Rupal Thanawala and Cynthia McIntyre were the keynote speakers at Purdue’s Women In Business Conference on March 26. They addressed students from the Krannert School of Business and spoke on the conference theme of “Ignite, Sustain and Radiate.” Cynthia focused on the importance of taking control of your career, networking and mentors, while Rupal spoke inspiring, coaching and giving back to young women and one’s alma mater as one climbs the professional ladder.

Susan Martin was promoted to vice president of finance at The Phoenix Company of Chicago.

In November, Vince Wong and his family moved to Tucson, Ariz., to join the world’s leader in cancer diagnostics, Ventana Medical Systems, a member of the Roche Group. As senior director, Vince is heading up Ventana’s strategy group and is thriving in its fast-paced, high-growth environment. Vince is also enjoying the year-round sunny weather, although he has not been able to play as much tennis as expected. It really is a dry heat!

Tanya Alfonso is living and working in the Netherlands in a new position with Monsanto: West EMEA marketing lead. She was married on Aug. 28.
