First (imagine baseball announcer voice here), a word from your Class Note rep: If you didn’t make it to Reunion 2011, be sure to check out the Reunion Class eBook. It can be downloaded at kelloggalumni.northwestern.edu/classes/1996/.
Greg Sigel updates: “I live with my wife and three kids just north of San Francisco. My company was acquired by Nuance Communications last year. I am currently incubating and running the business efforts for a new group within Nuance that brings speech and text interaction to TV, tablets, game consoles and other consumer electronics.”
From Don Vinh: “My wife and I took a much-needed two-week vacation in March touring Shanghai, Chiang Mai and Angkor Wat. Tropical heat was much welcomed after a long, cold and icy winter in Boston. We are doing great with our kids, Angelina (5) and Jordan (8). Angelina excels in karate, and she can more than handle the boys. Jordan is a math and logic wiz, a true management consultant-in-training. I sometime run into Kerry Kim and his family at church and reminisce about our life at McManus.”
Last October, Chris Casanega married Becky Apathy in Palos Verdes, Calif. A reception followed near their home in Manhattan Beach. Jeff Santelices served as best man. Bernard Koh and Jennifer Yun also attended. Chris says, “We all had a blast!”
Joseph Seminetta was appointed to the executive committee at Columbia College, where Joseph also co-heads the investment committee on the Board of Trustees.
