Brian Chung sends greetings from Southern California. He has returned to his pre-Kellogg musical roots, and spent the last 23 years with Kawai America Corporation (a Japan-based piano manufacturer), serving as senior vice president for the past 16 years. He co-writes musical textbooks and arrangements. The first of his four books, Improvisation at the Piano: A Systematic Approach for the Classically Trained Pianist, was released in 2009 by Alfred Publishing. The latest, Expressions of Christmas, a book of holiday arrangements for piano, is scheduled for release this fall. Brian and his wife JoAnne have three grown sons.

Emily Hartnell is applying years of corporate experience in the nonprofit world as manger of market research and development at the American Massage Therapy Association (based in Evanston). She lives and works in the same area so she walks to work — and enjoys, she says proudly, a free massage once in a while. She attends Kellogg seminars and networking events on campus.

Emily keeps in touch with Matt Korbeck ’81 and would love to reconnect with a few other members of the class.

Sally Andal-Munoz recalls her son Joseph being only a 1-year-old when she graduated. Now, Joseph is a senior vice president at LaSalle Investment Management and graduated this year from Kellogg.

Rick Zurow and his wife Debbie are enjoying the good life in Portland, Ore., and celebrating 28 years of marriage. Both of their children graduated college recently; his son is in sales and communications at Moonstruck in Portland, while his daughter is with AmeriCorps, teaching junior-high math and Spanish in Los Angeles’s Koreatown.

Rick helps charities start major and planned-giving programs. He travels throughout the U.S. and sometimes abroad with his work. Debbie focuses on executive-level placements in the staffing industry. Rick still plays basketball and racquetball every week and looks forward to hearing from more of us.

Keep those emails and photos coming. And remember, in less than a year, Reunion Weekend will be upon us!
