Scott Anderson was promoted to president and CEO of Patterson Companies Inc.

Jason Aiken was promoted to vice president and controller at General Dynamics.

Jen Oleksiw assumed a new role within a different business unit of Eli Lilly as information officer of Lilly bio-medicines business unit.

Bhoo Thirumalai’s new startup, Aspiration Energy, received seed funding from the prestigious Renewable Energy Search India program. The program is administered by the India government's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, one of the country’s top b-schools. Bhoo's startup is developing technical and financial products to make solar energy more affordable and feasible. They're also in the process of developing a solar-driven chiller/air-conditioner.

Krishna Guda has a new role as director of worldwide sales and business development for FusionOne.

Ricardo Leon was named global chain, group controller for Rexnord Industries, LLC.

Spencer Newman has accepted the position of CEO at Jvillage Network, a mission-driven, for-profit company that provides website management and online membership engagement solutions for Jewish organizations throughout North America. Previously, Spencer served as a consultant to the Burlington, Vt.-based company, assisting management with the development of marketing and financial strategies.

James Logie-Smith was named director of strategy and corporate development for Sara Lee Corp. and will be based in the Netherlands.

Ranjith Jangala was instrumental in organizing a speaking series for the Kellogg Alumni Club of Charlotte with fellow Kellogg alum Michael Smith ’97, president and CEO of Charlotte Center City Partners. The series focused on the future of Charlotte and urban living, addressing issues such as life, work, play concepts and finding your center. The effort was co-coordinated with Josh Carson ’05, Jim Barber ’06, Debbie Early ’80, Barry Greenblatt ’89 and Joshua Nelson ’03. More than 30 alumni, including those from Raleigh-Durham, attended the lively and energizing event.

In April, Andrea Sylvester and Julie Buxton met up in Montevideo, Uruguay, and traveled to Punta del Diablo, Punta del Este, Colonia del Sacramento and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
