EMP-45
Ten years on and new again! Ten years ago we finished an incredible amount of work, made some great lifelong friends along the way, and graduated from the best school in the world. It seems so long ago and yet so very recent. The trip back to “sweet home Chicago” really was so sweet, with nothing but great memories every mile of the way. The campus looks exactly the same as when we left, and so do all of you!
EMP-45 did it again! We were by far the most represented North American group. On Friday of Reunion weekend, we met our neighboring class EMP-46, which was the largest Chicago-based EMP group and second only to us overall. What a great turnout. Thank you Jose and Alan from EMP-46, Craig from EMP-44, and Karen and Amy for all your help in planing such a nice evening. And we were also the most giving class! Thank you all for your donations to the class gift fund. Enjoy the pictures and I hope to see all of you in London when you pass through.
So who made it? Amy Lazarus, Anne D'Orazio, Beverly Johnson Lindsay, Bhadresh Sutaria, Carita Twinem, Curt Alan Conklin, Dave Evans, Ed Eggers, Helen Teplitskaia, John Murray, Jonathan A. Murray, Karen Kirby, Kelly Chesney, Kevin Beckett, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Kevin Quincey, Kimmo Sjoroos, Linda Kandel, Maury Magids, Michael Sexton, Mike Karchner, Pat (James Pat) Mackin, Patrice Matthias, Ranga Puranik, Rob Kohlhagen, Scott Ragan, Sean Salmon, Thad Mackrell, Tom Brockley, Tom Giacomini, Val Weaver and Victor Korea.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dan Rice for his safety in Iraq and to Essie Davis (Eisenfeld) who suffered a loss in her family just before the reunion.
It was great to also see Bernie Birt, Julie Cisek Jones, and Erica Kantor along with Deans Dipak Jain, Sunil Chopra and Sally Blount. Welcome to the legacy of great deans, Dean Blount!
For Reunion weekend, we enjoyed a great Friday dinner and catching up with EMP-45, 44, and 46 classes at the Metropolitan Club in the Willis Center (formerly the Sears Tower). On Saturday we had a BBQ on campus and a dinner at Bistro 110 in downtown Chicago. It was such a pleasure seeing everyone from all the classes then. On Sunday, we met for brunch and went out to the ball game at Wrigley Field.
We’re all better connected now than anytime since we left school. Reach me by e-mail at KQuincey2000@Kellogg.Northwestern.edu and 52 of the 67 of us can also be found in the same way. You can reach 43 of us on LinkedIn and 30 of us on Facebook. Say hi to someone you haven’t talked to in a while this week in one of those venues. I’ll be test-posting some Reunion pictures on our virtual yearbook and Facebook soon. You can also check out photos at: quincey.me/Quincey.Me/UK_10/Entries/2010/5/1_Kellogg_EMP45_10-Year_Reunion.html. If you’d like to help me out, give me a call at 414.899.1112. My U.S. number still reaches me over here in London.
We still haven’t reached Erin Murray, so if anyone can, please let me know. I think everyone else except Brian Gribble, Brian Periera, Maury Magids, Michael Kinley, Michel Couture and Scott Ragan are all connected in at least one digital way now.
I miss all of you and it was so great to see those who could make it! Those who couldn’t were all in our thoughts. |
