Scott England is a director of marketing and investor relations for commodity trading adviser Covenant Capital Management. He writes: “We manage assets for both high-net-worth individuals and institutions using global futures markets (managed futures) as the investment vehicle. We trade in over 30 different markets including equity indexes, fixed income, foreign exchange, agricultural, metals, soft commodities and energy. After more than 15 years in various positions within the financial markets, I was attracted to Covenant Capital and CTAs in general because of the outstanding returns and low correlations to other asset classes. Considering the extreme volatility and terrible performance of the S&P 500 over the last 10 years, I think that managed futures are an asset class that all Kellogg alumni should be aware of, and considering for their portfolios.”

We had over 100 people at our Kellogg family baseball event at the Frisco Rough Riders, the AA affiliate for the Texas Rangers."

Greg Hall launched Slix, a revolutionary line of men’s undergarments, last November. He reports: “We’ve had some fun at Slix in the past few months while seeing some fantastic growth. We signed John Daly as a spokesperson and created global brand recognition in the golf vertical. We appeared on the “Being John Daly” reality series on the Golf Channel as well as ESPN, Sports Illustrated, BBC, CBS and NBC. While still focusing on a direct-to-consumer model, we have opportunistically leveraged this awareness to gain placement in more than 60 premier golf pro shops around the country, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Palmetto, Forest Highlands, Pelican Hill, Bandon Dunes and Chambers Bay. This summer we will be expanding our product offering and testing new verticals. Check us out at getyourslixon.com.” |
