Erik Carlson moved his family from Seattle to Virginia and started a new job at OPOWER, driving energy efficiency in homes across the country. To top it off, he met President Obama when he came to the company's office, met the staff, and held a press conference on creating jobs in the clean energy economy. It's been quite a year so far!
Connie W. Siu helped produce fellow Kellogg grad April Wright’s ’92 independent feature film LAYOVER. The film is available this summer on Amazon.com and also via download on the new YouTube rentals. Connie comments, "Not a lot of MBAs go into the film business, but these new distribution models are very appealing since now we can be true entrepreneurs and control the product from its inception to delivery to the end user, which couldn't be done before." LAYOVER premiered at Cinequest Film Festival in 2009, won an award for Excellence in Filmmaking from the Honolulu International Film Festival, and received three out of four stars from Rotten Tomatoes, which called LAYOVER "a lovely little gem!" |
