Frank de Mora writes, “Since joining Konecranes in 2002, I've held several sales management positions, including sales director of Latin America from 2002-2005. During that time I was based at headquarters in Sweden, with heavy travel throughout Latin America from Mexico to Chile. My frequent flyer account was bulging with miles! Because we manufacture container handling equipment for seaports and railways, I have pounded the pavement in just about every port of any consequence in Latin America.
“In 2005, I was transferred to Atlanta to start up our office and sales activities in North America. When the financial crisis hit us (and everyone else) very hard in the fall of 2008, I was called back to headquarters in Sweden, leaving a small staff in the U.S. This time I took over an expanded area of responsibility which included North and South America, as well as France, Benelux and North Africa. Beginning Aug. 1, I will be moving to São Paulo, Brazil, as sales director. Anyone in the Kellogg community who needs a guide during visits to São Paulo, don't hesitate to make contact!”
Jeffrey Devlin, general manager of the pharmaceutical division of Abbott Canada, shares that he helped to facilitate a $100,000 donation from Abbott Canada that will be used to support the nurse practitioner programs at McGill University in Montreal. Abbott’s donation will help recruit nurse practitioners and physicians to supervise students, update course materials, improve learning and lab environments, and make valuable training opportunities available.
In an effort to fill out the TMP 1995 Class Notes … Mark Bouska says he and his wife, Annette are looking forward to summer. Mark says, “We will both work full-time jobs and still have plenty of free time. Our daughter (11) and our son (8) will play 40 soccer games and eight lacrosse games between April 10 and May 30. Not to mention, taking them to soccer and lacrosse practice each week. Somehow we fit in Tae Kwon Do teaching and practice two days a week. On May 16, my daughter’s team won the State of Ohio President’s Cup for U11 Girls. While it has been a great spring, we’re looking forward to summer!”
We hope everyone has a great summer and we look forward to your updates in the fall.
