April Wright's independent feature film LAYOVER is available on Amazon.com and also via download on the new YouTube rentals. The film was produced by fellow alum Connie W. Siu ’99. Wright says, "We're really excited to be partnered with YouTube to release our film LAYOVER. With studios focused more on tentpoles and franchises, it's nice that technology is catching up to provide opportunities to filmmakers and audiences looking for independent points of view." LAYOVER premiered at Cinequest Film Festival in 2009, won an award for Excellence in Filmmaking from the Honolulu International Film Festival, and received three out of four stars from Rotten Tomatoes, which called LAYOVER "a lovely little gem!" April can be reached at aprilwright2005@hotmail.com.
