Shay Mandel has been living in Hyderabad, India, for the last year, working for Microsoft India Development Center on a new product for managing development and testing labs using virtualization technology. The Beta 1 of the product was released in May. Shay was able to get a few Israeli customers to be design partners, including Invoke Solutions, with the help of Tal Sliwowicz, the senior vice president for product strategy and development at Invoke.
In extracurricular news, Shay reports that he has started the Hyderabad Bicycling Club and organizes charity events, races and community events to promote green commuting. Several projects are underway, and Shay is helping them take shape, with the hope of making Hyderabad a model city for green commuting.
