EMP-40

Rich Daly completed his role leading the merger of TAP and Takeda. On April 1, he was named executive vice president of Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America. In this role Rich will have responsibility for sales, marketing, medical and scientific affairs and commercial operations. Congratulations Rich!

Donald Bungum, son of Dave and Michele Bungum, will be studying at the University of Oxford for the next two years after graduating from the University of Chicago. Donald was one of 40 students nationwide to have been awarded the prestigious Marshall scholarship. The Marshall is a distinguished award, founded in the wake of World War II to promote academic internationalism. Donald is a double major in chemistry and biochemistry, with the ultimate ambition of pursuing a doctorate in chemistry, but he will use his scholarship to Oxford to pursue his other research interest: the relationship between science and religion. At Oxford, he will study for a master's degree in science and religion and a master's in philosophical theology.

Ray and Lynn Siegel opened up their beautiful home back in December to continue the celebration of our EMP-40 10-year Reunion. About 70 classmates and spouses attended along with Erica Kantor, Ed Wilson, Bernie Birt and Professor Bob Weber. It was fun to see them as well. It was a wonderful evening and a great chance for us to catch up and enjoy some holiday spirits. Thanks Ray and Lynn for such a wonderful evening!
