Harold V. Anagnos was the founder and CEO of Lumex, Inc. when attending the EMP-20 program. Lumex is a leading global manufacturer of light-emitting and sensing electronics like LEDs and LCDs. As planned, the business was divested to ITW Corporation in October 2004. Harold moved on to establish BXA Associates Ltd. in Palatine IL. In the fall of 2003, Harold was awarded the first honorary title of Kellogg Scholar in Marketing and Sales Management for attending the highest number of classes, conferences and executive seminars in the field of marketing among Kellogg graduates dating back to 1976. He has also served as chair of the Midwest Council of the American Electronics Association for six years, chaired the entrepreneurship committee of the Kellogg Alumni Club and is serving on the executive board of The Management Association of Illinois. He was also honored in 1996 with the Illinois High Tech Entrepreneur of the Year Award by a local organization of civic, academic and industry leaders. Randy Whitfield is vice president/general manager of Hospital Respiratory Care BU for Philips Healthcare. Philips acquired Respironics, Inc., where Randy held the position of president of critical care. Prior to Respironics, Randy was the president of Puritan Bennett at Tyco Healthcare. Randy lives in San Diego with his wife, Pam, near the beach where, as Randy puts it, "my daughters would spend every day if they could."
