2007— Part-Time

Jason Sissel reports that he founded Endure to Cure Foundation after his grandfather passed away from his second form of cancer. E2C's mission is to conquer a combination of great physical challenges that no one else in the world has completed in order to advance cures for pediatric cancer, to serve as an inspiration to people worldwide and to unite those who have been affected by cancer.

Sissel's personal goal is to take on the challenge of a world-first campaign of endurance events and to raise $3 million for the cause. All proceeds will be given to organizations that research, treat, and/or provide support for pediatric cancer patients. Over the next two-plus years, Sissel expects to log more than 700 miles of swimming, more than 3,000 miles of running, more than 19,000 miles of cycling, countless hours of strength and mental training, and climb a number of the most difficult mountains on Earth, including the infamous Denali and Mt. Everest.

Sissel says, "I hope to inspire people to believe that when you have a vision, determination and perseverance, you can overcome any challenge despite how big it may seem." All proceeds donated to E2C will be given to one or several organizations that participate in research, treat, and/or provide support for pediatric cancer patients.
