David M. Shade '67, president and chief operating officer of Huron Consulting Group and a Crystal Lake, Ill., resident, was elected the 120th president of the Union League Club of Chicago.
Shade previously served as first and second vice president of the club. Three generations of Shades are active members of the Union League Club of Chicago, including Shade's father, Harold; his wife, Charlotte in 2004; and their sons David Jr. and Paul in 2002 and 2004, respectively. Daughter Lisa Shade joined the club earlier this year.
The Union League Club of Chicago focuses its leadership and resources on important social issues and has played an important role in establishing many of the city's leading cultural organizations, including The Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum. |
