and his marketing team at Allianz Lebensversicherung (a German
life insurance subsidiary) were ranked among the top 10 most
market-oriented companies in a survey conducted by BBDO Consulting
and the University of Bremen. This "Best Marketing Company"
survey was conducted among 280 publicly traded companies in
Germany.
Since
April 1, Carlos Ihlenfeld has joined the strategic planning team of Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart
and beginning in May, he will move to Farmington Hills, Mich.,
as director of long-term planning for Robert Bosch LLC in
the U.S. Besides strategy development, he will also be in
charge of strategic merger and acquisition activities and
restructuring of operations of Robert Bosch in the Americas
(North and South). For the time being, in light of the current
market situation (particularly in the automotive industry),
there will be a lot to do over there.
As
already mentioned in the last edition, after many years of
working in the automotive industry, Jesus Lopez decided
to run his own company by acquiring a traditional machinery
manufacturer specializing in the nonwoven industry in July
2007. To better emphasize the future, the company, Edelmann
Maschinen, was renamed Edelmann Technology. Now, presenting
all-new developments with breakthrough innovation at the INDEX08
in April, the company is able to shake up the winding and
slitting technology for the nonwoven industry.
After
heading the strategic development department of Infraserv
GmbH & Co. Hšchst KG, Jochen Schmidt has been appointed
CEO of Infraserv Logistics GmbH, a 100 percent subsidiary
of Infraserv. Infraserv Logistics is a full-service logistics
provider servicing mainly the chemicals, pharmaceuticals,
biotechnology and process industries at Industriepark Hšchst
and nine other locations in Germany. Infraserv Logistics generates
annual sales of EUR 95 million, with nearly 700 employees.
But
the true promotion of Jochen and wife Pilar took place March
14, with the birth of their son, Tobias Julian.
