EMP-68

Although EMP-68 just graduated in December, we're finding it's just too hard to let go of all the constant contact with the great friends we made. Many would call it good old-fashioned withdrawal. So, it's no surprise, since we have a reputation for being a very close and "social" class, that there have been several informal class get-togethers in Chicago since we've left Evanston: one in February and one most recently at the Kellogg Reunion weekend in May. Although it's only been a little while, there's been quite a bit of activity and life changes for some of our classmates.

Duone Jackson, Mukul Kelkar and Brian Sexton have joined together to form a company called E-Strategy Consulting, which is focused on the government industry. Since its inception in late 2007, they have formed strategic partnerships with companies in strategy execution, market research and analysis, sales and recruiting, and IT platforms. On a personal note, Duone is also obtaining an additional master's degree in government procurement acquisition at Webster University. Mukul is still at Intel and leading a brand new system-on-a-chip product for 2010 and also has a planned upcoming sabbatical that will take him for a few weeks to Europe and Hawaii!

Seth Deutsch and his wife celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary and Seth started a new job at Eaton in March.

Bob Cohn's son Jake graduated from the University of Rochester in May.

Chris Santiago and his wife welcomed Owen Santiago into the family on Feb. 29 — a leap-year baby!

Mariano Gonzalez has relocated to Chicago to take a position with William Blair, a Chicago-based global investment bank. He's spent some time staying with the Santiago family. That's one busy household!

Sunil Polepalli and wife Siri are the proud parents of a new baby boy, Vinil, who joined the family on March 30.

Ashley Goldsmith married Chris Cestaro in Mexico on May 10. In attendance were AJ Tosyali, Kimberly Paulus, Brad Riemenapp and Leslie Kinsman.

Ben Arndt and his wife welcomed Finley Catherine Arndt into the world on April 5.

Brian Ullem was promoted to vice president, device strategy at Alltel in Little Rock, Ark. Brian manages handset selection, certification, product life cycle and pricing.

Vijay Rao moved up from sunny Florida to the Chicagoland area in February to assume the position of global vice president of marketing and technology at IDEX Corp. When travel eases, he hopes to meet up and hang out with the crowd in Chicago more often.

Bryan Trussel has left the corporate world for entrepreneurship after 16 years at Microsoft. In March, he cofounded a startup company named Glympse Inc., of which he is the CEO. The company creates consumer software which integrates social networks, location, and mobile phones. They will be releasing a beta version of their software this summer.
