2007—
Full-Time
It was great
to see a lot of you at Reunion, and for those of you who weren't
there, you missed out! I didn't get very many updates this
quarter, so please let this column be a reminder to let your
classmates know what you're up to.

Geoffrey Tsang ‘07 (front row) got together with his parents, Eric and Catherine Tsang, his sister (front right), and his wife Tania (front left) to celebrate the arrival of the couple’s daughter, Rachel. The Tsangs live in Hong Kong. |

Geoffrey
Tsang's wife, Tania, gave birth to a baby girl, Rachel
Tsang, on Aug. 15 in the couple's hometown of Hong Kong. Geoffrey
writes, "I was too busy learning how to take care of
a newborn and didn't get the photo to Class Notes last time,
so this is the first time we are introducing her. Tania and
I are still learning new things on baby care every day, but
at least now we are experts in changing diapers and feeding!"
The Tsangs live in Hong Kong, where Geoffrey is employed by
The Boston Consulting Group.
Pablo
and Tiffany Bernal welcomed son Samuel on March
24. Sammy attended his first Kellogg Reunion at just 5
weeks of age and met many '07 grads during a brief appearance
at Jake Melnick's. Tiffany writes that he is looking forward
to seeing his new Kellogg friends again soon!
Liam
Krehbiel hosted a Pong tournament during Reunion weekend.
The prize was nick-naming rights to Liam and Karen's son;
winners Josh Palacios and Will Owen chose Wolfgang.
Liam's wife, Karen, was considering her veto options at press
time.
Ishai
Froind had a good excuse for missing Reunion: he was in
Israel for a three-week vacation with his family. The Froinds
are back in the States, and I had the pleasure of having lunch
with Ishai in May. He is working at eBay as a product manager.
A
party honoring Lebbonee Price and Tad Kittredge provided
an excuse for a cross-class get-together of alums in the Bay
Area on May 17. Attendees from the class of '07 included Sara
Borthwick, Janet Zhou, Melissa (Jones) Gregory and
Chris Gregory.
Bryan
Campbell recently relocated to San Francisco after surviving
a grueling winter in Boston. His new swank pad in the Noe
Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, which he shares with
Krista Plaisted, is rumored to have not one but three
patios. Brace yourselves for a long summer of Saturday afternoon
beers in their backyard!
Micah
Murphy will finish training in Rhode Island in this spring.
He writes, "After rolling across the country, I should
be getting to Seattle in August and will probably have just
enough time to park my car, hop on a plane and fly to the
Arabian Gulf to join up with the Abraham Lincoln Strike Group
for a few more months of fun in the sun."
Josh
Mandel is working for Novartis Oncology and finished his
rotation in West Palm Beach in May. Not a bad place to spend
the winter! The morning after Reunion, Josh relocated to New
York and was set to begin working from the company's Florham
Park, N.J., headquarters.
Anthony
Shontz, wife Ashley and their three children have decided
to stay in Switzerland for another year. They have a blog
where they post pictures of their adorable family weekly.
Get in touch with Anthony if you are interested in taking
a look.
Liz
Henry, Beth Stevens and Paulita David are spearheading
an effort to bring Kellogg Ski Trip back, tentatively scheduled
for Feb. 4-8. The event is modeled on 2008's successful Bring
Wednesday Back series, as well as on Milwaukee Day. No word
on whether Old Style will be served, but join the Facebook
group "Bring Kellogg Ski Trip Back 2009" if you
want to get in on the action. |
