Lionel
Rothbard '48
of Elmhurst, Ill., served for 39 years in the U.S. Army, from
which he retired as a colonel. He has also worked for McNeil
Pharmaceutical of Johnson & Johnson. He and his wife,
Phyllis, who is a gradaute of the University of Minnesota,
enjoy their family of two children and two grandchildren.
Elliott
Shapiro '48 of Highland Park, Ill., is married to Nancy
Oberhaus Shapiro, who graduated from Northwestern University
in 1950. Elliott had once been a member of the Naval ROTC
at Utah. He and Nancy have three children and three grandchildren.
During his professional career, Elliott was the owner of Stacy
Products, which dealt in discontinued merchandise.
Dorothy
Fredrickson Sundberg '48 of Addison, Ill., is the retired
secretary-treasurer of Gust Fredrickson Inc., a construction
firm in Elmwood Park, Ill., that was founded by her father.
She and her husband, Howard, had two children and three grandchildren.
One of them is the owner of a popular restaurant in Lake Geneva,
Wis.
Emil
Uhlarik '48 of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and wife Mary
have a family of eight children and 24 grandchildren. He retired
as a manager in the Unocal Corp. in 1986. Emil would enjoy
hearing from his college friends, as he is presently confronting
health issues.
Thomas
Zimniewicz '48 of Glenview, Ill., is a retired officer
of the brokerage firm David A. Noyes in Chicago. He and his
wife, Mary, enjoy their family of four children and six grandchildren.
