EMP-37

The guys from Study Group D (Ed Burton, Brian Bolliger, Chuck Derus, Neil Pedersen, Steve Johnson and Dave Semple) continue to get together several times each year. Neil and Dave visited Northwestern May 5 for Reunion activities. During the morning they audited an EMP class at Kellogg and visited Julie Cisek Jones in the EMBA office.

On May 19, Dave attended the Greater China Business Conference at Kellogg. After being away from Kellogg for several years, Dave visited the school twice in a period of two weeks! Dave reports that he is the chief engineer for a new locomotive that his company, Electro-Motive Diesel, is developing for the China Ministry of Railways. He has made many trips to China in the past two years.

Art Handman reports: "Main news from here is that I've added to my work responsibility at Energizer. I picked up our trade marketing team, adding two more direct reports and another 26 people. I am now vice president of sales and trade marketing, with about 90 people on my team. That team has helped drive profitable growth, which has brought us back to U.S. market share leadership in batteries for the first time in 25 years, passing P&G's Duracell unit.

"John is becoming quite the baseball player, and we are continuing to enjoy St. Louis as a family place. As we like to say here in "Bunny World," Keep Going ... and have a great summer!"

After owning and operating several Dunkin' Donuts locations for the past 28 years, Ramesh Goyal is now selling his 12 locations. If anyone is interested to buy or needs information regarding Dunkin' Brands franchise, please contact Ramesh. He is now interested in the hotel business, so if you are in the market to sell, please get in touch.
