Tim
Ryan
was named president, publisher and chief executive officer
of The Baltimore Sun Company, a division of Tribune Company.
He served as vice president of circulation and operations
at The Sun from July 2000 to February 2005, and since
then has been vice president of circulation and consumer marketing
at the Chicago Tribune. He assumed his new duties March
23. Ryan's management responsibilities also included oversight
of RedEye, the rapidly growing young-adult oriented
edition of the Tribune. He worked as vice president
of circulation at The Philadelphia Inquirer from 1993
to 2000.
