Laurie Burkland Walter '00 with daughter Emerson Kate

Laurie Burkland Waller and her husband, Sylvan, joyfully announced the birth of their daughter Emerson Kate on Dec. 20. Laurie continues to enjoy her role as president of the Kellogg Alumni Club of Atlanta and recently completed an organizational development engagement with Emory University's Goizueta Business School and its executive development group. She helped build customized learning solutions for corporate clients who are seeking leadership development programs.

Ky Vu fans flocked from near and far to attend his wedding to the beautiful Rhonda Lucas in Oahu in October. Festivities were plentiful — in Ky Vu style — kicking the weekend off with a luau, pre-wedding dinner at Buca (one of the couple's favorite standbys in San Francisco), then followed by post-wedding dim sum, and post-post wedding brunch, not to mention some surfing time each night under the stars. The wedding itself was beautiful, by the bay near Kailua (and incidentally, on the set of "Lost"), with Federico Papa officiating the ceremony, and a party following — again, in Ky Vu style, with a "fusion" of food (Indian, Hawaiian, Vietnamese) and music/dancing (can we actually say "lap dance" at a wedding?). Ky and Rhonda live in the Mission district of San Francisco, where they open their doors to friends and visitors at any time.
