Vicente
Cue
passed along the happy news that Gabriel Biguria and
family welcomed Ana Sofia Biguria Boppel into the world in
April. Mommy, daddy and big sister Isabel are all thrilled
with their new little girl.
Sonya
Grier writes: "I have taken a tenured professor position
in the marketing department at the Kogod School of Business
at American University. It is a great fit for me, given my
research on the social dimensions of marketing. All of the
faculty in my department conduct research related to marketing
and public policy issues, and many work in conjunction with
government agencies in the area."
Chris
Summersgill and his wife, Stephanie Ressel, had a son,
Clemens, last October. In February, they flew to Guatemala
for Clemens' baptism, where classmate Bill Kaufmann
met them to preside as godfather. They're now living in Cambridge,
Mass., and are looking forward to an East Coast summer.
Karena
Strella writes with news of her recent promotion: "In
January, I was elected partner in Egon Zehnder International,
a leading international executive search firm, and named the
global practice group leader for life sciences. In this role
I lead our firm's life sciences activities, serving clients
around the globe in executive search, succession planning,
pre- and post-acquisition due diligence, and integration and
board work. We have offices in just about every major city
in the world so I am racking up the air miles."

Sven
Zehnder has moved to Foster City, Calif., where he is
working for VISA International in global sponsorship. He writes:
"My family and I are travelling extensively and enjoying
California as much as we can and try to meet up with fellow
classmates. We had a wonderful lunch with Phelps Wood
at the Ferry Building, surprised Duirmuid O'Connell '97 at
his home in San Francisco and met up on numerous occasions
with Wayne Hill '97. My assignment would have been the global
FIFA project, but in a trial between FIFA and MasterCard,
Judge Preska of New York decided to award these rights back
to MasterCard, so my experience has taken a very different
turn than originally anticipated. I am looking forward to
meeting up with anyone else in the Bay Area."
Rob
Moskow was promoted
to lead analyst covering food and agribusiness stocks for
Credit Suisse Securities' equity research department. He publishes
research on 22 companies such as Kraft, Wrigley and Tyson.
He joined Credit Suisse in 2002 after spending five years
as a brand manager for Warner Lambert and Godiva Chocolatier.
He is always looking for observations from grocery shoppers,
so don't hesitate to e-mail him with your thoughts on your
favorite breakfast cereal and chewing gum brands. Rob lives
in Larchmont, N.Y., with his wife, Holly Himstead
Moskow, who skillfully
manages a household of two children: Benjamin (7) and Madeline
(4).

Jai
Shekhawat, Pradip Patiath and Aaron Gerber have
kept up an annual post- Kellogg tradition of attending Fight
Night at the University Club in Chicago. Jai wrote in with
an update on the professional careers of the three: Jai started
Fieldglass seven years ago and is still the CEO. They raised
$38M in venture capital and are now profitable with 100 employees
with operations in the U.S., Europe, Middle East, Africa and
India. The company is a software-as-a-service firm in the
services procurement space and was recently listed by Forrester
as the top company in this category ahead of Ariba, SAP and
Oracle. Jai previously co-founded Quinnox with two other friends.
It is in the offshore application outsourcing industry and
employs about 800 people, mostly in the U.S. and India. It
is currently profitable with no outside capital.
Pradip
was elected partner at McKinsey in Chicago. Aaron is the founder
and CEO of Trio Health, a healthcare services company in Chicago.
He was previously group vice president of Allscripts Healthcare
Solutions.
GetWellNetwork
Inc., a leading provider of interactive patient care solutions,
recently announced it has appointed Stephen Hiscott
as senior vice president of business development. Stephen
brings more than 15 years of healthcare strategy, marketing
and business development experience to the GetWellNetwork
management team. His new role includes leading the company's
business development efforts as it seeks to expand its relationships
with other technology, content and healthcare organizations.
Previously Stephen served as managing director and founding
partner for the InPractice Group, an innovative professional
services and technology firm focused on strategy execution
and workflow management.
Tom
Madison finally writes with an update after 11 years of
silence: "Jennifer and I are alive and well in Atlanta,
where we have lived since graduation. I've moved between several
jobs over the past decade (like most Kelloggians) —
many of them consulting ilk — but I've finally 'landed'
at Equifax, running the firm's mortgage business. I'm still
on the hunt for the perfect test-driver role at Porsche North
America, but sadly they continue to throw out my letters and
applications. More importantly, Jennifer and I are the very
proud parents of two little ones: Mackenzie Steele and Thomas
Luke. Mackenzie (3) is master of her own universe. Luke is
not even a year old and already knows that, thanks to his
older sister, he's probably going to need therapy early in
life. We welcome any and all Kellogg visitors — especially
if they baby-sit."
Miriam
Geller and her partner have twin girls (2). Last year
she started working at a new company (Intuit), after her former
company (Macromedia) was acquired by Adobe. She still lives
in San Francisco and is enjoying being a parent of twins.
Michelle
McKinnon Veloso writes: "After working in investor
relations at SIRIUS Satellite Radio for two years, I recently
switched to a new role at SIRIUS (vice president of financial
planning). I run our planning and budgeting process and am
also learning a lot about the merger approval process. Please
stay in touch — it's always fun taking Kellogg friends
on tours of our NYC broadcast studios."
Tom
McNulty is a director in the financial and transaction
consulting practice of Sirius Solutions in Houston. He is
focusing on complex business valuation, transaction and litigation
engagements. His daughter Megan (4) is growing up way too
fast for Tom to handle!
Bill
Bonadio took a new position as vice president, strategy
management for integrated defense systems at Boeing in Arlington,
Va. It is an ideal opportunity given Bill's Navy background,
and he is very much enjoying the challenge. Bill and Jenny
Ord Bonadio continue to reside north of Baltimore, Md.,
with their children, Alex (7), Claire (5) and Madelyn (3).
Jenny is working part-time as a marketing consultant and overtime
as mom. They look forward to catching up with Kellogg friends
in Chicago and around the Northeast this summer. |
