Raman
Chadha recently
joined the Advisory Board for NFTE (National Foundation for
Teaching Entrepreneurship). For the past three and a half
years, Raman has been executive director of the Coleman Entrepreneurship
Center at DePaul University, where he is also a member of
the entrepreneurship faculty.
In
March, Tim Lester was appointed vice president, controller
and principal accounting officer of Cost Plus World Market,
a specialty retailer of casual home furnishings and entertaining
products. Tim lives in Pleasanton, Calif., with his wife,
Elizabeth Hollis Lester '95, and their four children.
Guy
Logan lives in Chicago with his wife, Suzanne, and three
children, Julianne (7), Andrew (5) and Laura (2). In addition
to serving as president/managing partner of Logan Consulting,
Guy volunteers with the school system education fund, rotary
board and Bikes for Kids program. In his spare time he enjoys
Cubs games, and he took a spring vacation to Florida.
Deborah
Nustad is enjoying her role as a global marketing operations
program manager at GE Healthcare. She and her husband, Tim
NU '89, are enjoying lots of family time with their children,
Sarah (6) and Alexander (3). Deborah is an active member of
the Betty Brinn Children's Museum board of directors in Milwaukee
and co-leads Sarah's Daisy Girl Scout troop.
After
eight years with Arena Football League, where he most recently
served as the COO, Joe Vrankin will be leaving in July
to become the CEO of Golf Entertainment International, where
he will lead all U.S. operations. In addition, beginning last
fall, Joe has been a part-time professor with the Northwestern
University Graduates Sports Administration program.
Mark
Watzke has just moved
into a new role with BP Alaska, commercial manager, Midstream.
He and his staff oversee the commercial aspects of managing
BP's interests in the crude oil transportation system (for
example, local pipelines, the Trans Alaska Pipeline System
and the fleet of marine tankers). In addition to his role
with BP Alaska, Mark has an "evening and Saturday job"
he characterizes as a labor of love: coaching girls' softball
for his 11- and 8-year-olds, who both play.
Rick
Wolk organized Juneau's first Business Roundtable on climate
change. It was appropriate that this event was held at the
U.S. Forest Service's Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.
