wrote with this update: "After nearly 20 years (yes,
we are that old), we wished Tina Tranfaglia good luck
as she moved home to Boston to become vice president of product
marketing at VistaPrint. Tiscia Eicher, Beth Ayotte
and her son RJ, Denise Bindelglass and her daughter
Paulina, and my son Logan and I all got together in January
for a bon voyage brunch. I've told Tina to plan on returning
in December, and hopefully a couple of times before, for Tiscia's
annual ladies' holiday cookie exchange, which is attended
by many fellow alums and alums' wives and is our much-anticipated
opportunity to catch up every year. Tina has a tradition of
going all out with her cookies, while I have a tradition of
trying to figure out how to turn on my oven.
"I
visited Susan Evans in February just as she announced she was leaving
Deutsche Bank for Bear Stearns to become managing director/principal,
asset management operations. Susan had joined Deutsche Bank
out of Kellogg when it was still Bankers Trust. She had been
head of Deutsche asset management core U.S. operations, a
job that included frequent trips to India to build and oversee
an outsourcing operation. I think she's looking forward to
less travel and more time with her husband, Ira, and their
three girls, oldest Ashleigh and twins Sarah and Jordan.
"I've
spent the past 10-years-plus at Lake Capital, a private equity
firm that invests exclusively in service companies, where
I am part of our business development team. We manage $1.3
billion in equity and are currently investing an $800 million
fund, so please drop me an e-mail if you've got a service
business for sale.
"As
I'm out and about, I've been lucky to bump into a number of
Kellogg folks through work. When life slows down long enough
to get a cup of coffee, I catch up with Marc Landsberg,
who is president of Arc Worldwide, Publicis' global marketing
services company. At an industry event last fall I saw Reeve
Waud, who runs his own firm, Waud Capital.
"I
live in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood with my husband,
Eric, little man Logan and our two cats. We seem to be permanently
rehabbing a 100-year-old greystone, a former multi-unit that
we've turned into a single-family home. We've got plenty of
room for anyone who wants to visit."
And
the last word is from Milton Young: "I was recently
named 2007 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pro of the
Year." Milton is the subsea global sourcing director
for FMC Technologies, a global provider of mission-critical
technology for the energy, food processing and air transportation
industries. He is responsible for global aggregation and sourcing
of strategic commodities, which includes setting up long-term
agreements, integrating demand and supply capacity planning
and developing supplier capabilities.
