J.D. Sandfort was recently elected president of the Kellogg Alumni Club of Dallas-Fort Worth.

The Kellogg Alumni Club of Dallas-Fort Worth would like to thank Ken Hathaway '00 for his efforts to build a foundation for a successful alumni organization and to extend the Kellogg experience post-graduation. For the past five years, Ken has served as club president. He was recently promoted and will now lead strategic sales at EDS Canada. Ken and his family are relocating to Toronto this summer. We wish him well in his new position.

With Ken's departure, J.D. Sandfort '92 will take the leadership reins of the club. J.D. has been a long-time club leader and served as president-elect since December. J.D. is an account vice president at UBS Financial Services. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a board member of Blackburn College.

The first half of 2006 has been a very productive time for our club. In addition to our monthly first-Thursday networking event, our club held a very successful reception for newly admitted Kellogg students in April. More than 40 new students and alums mingled at Standard Restaurant. Our club would like to thank Bain & Co., The Boston Consulting Group, Frito-Lay North America and McKinsey & Co. for their financial support of this event.

The first session of our KAC-DFW Career Coaching Series kicked off on April 28 with "An Insider's View of Executive Recruiting" with Mike McCurdy '77, a seasoned executive recruiter and Kellogg alum. More than 30 people attended, including alumni from our club, the Chicago Graduate School of Business and the Wharton Alumni Club. Brian Burdorf '01 and Dean Liu, members of the KAC-DFW board of directors, have developed a professional program that not only provides value to our club members, but also creates an avenue to network with other top B-school alums.
