TMP 2000

Thanks for the updates this quarter! Please keep them coming as the summer progresses; I am sure you've all been very busy.

If you enjoy reading the updates and don't receive a quarterly reminder from yours truly about submitting class notes, perhaps your alumni e-mail forwarding address isn't set up. To remedy this, go to kellogg.northwestern.edu/alumni/index.htm. While you are there, be sure to sign up for the TMP 2000 listserv.

On with the updates!

Law Burks writes that life has changed quite a bit recently. "Cyndi and I welcomed Jonah Ellis Burks, our third child, in September. The family and I relocated in January from Chicago to Columbus, Ohio, where I joined Cardinal Health as vice president of market management in the supply chain services pharmaceuticals business unit. I'm having fun and enjoying working in healthcare. Alumni in the area should look us up; there is no Kellogg club in Columbus."

Once again, Rodelo Maglente and his company, BFI, graciously sponsored the charity "Giving From the Green" golf outing that fellow TMP 2000 graduate Darin Prado put together on June 3. The outing raises funds for a small orphanage in Mexico (ffhm.org). In its previous four years, Giving From the Green has raised over $45,000 for the kids; Rodelo has been an enthusiastic supporter since 2003. Thank you, Rodelo!

Two years ago, Joe Sorce accepted a position as vice president of marketing for a mid-sized energy retailer that was about to be put through Chapter 11. This turnaround opportunity was very exciting for Joe, and after a short 18 months, the company announced its sale to Energy Transfer Partners, one of the largest mid-stream and retail energy companies in the country. He will be taking some time off to spend with his family before exploring new opportunities. Joe and his wife Tracy returned to Chicago three years ago and plan to make it their permanent home.

Let's keep our class networked by submitting lots of great updates for the fall edition!
