TMP 1997

John Coyle recently took a promotion at U.S. Cellular to fill a newly created position, senior director of customer strategy and marketing. He writes, "In addition, in February I was fortunate enough to take on a three-week assignment in Torino, Italy, with NBC, working in the broadcast booth at the Olympics. I supported the announcers for all of the short track speed-skating, providing notes, research and statistics. It was an amazing trip where I caught up with many of the current and former athletes including Bonnie Blair, Eric Heiden, Apolo Ohno and Shani Davis."

In June 2005, Denise Kenny accepted a position as principal in fixed income sales at Bank of America Securities in Chicago. Previously, Denise spent eight years at Salomon Brothers/Citigroup Global Markets in fixed income sales in Chicago. Denise lives in Wilmette, Ill., with her husband and their sons, 9 and 5.

On April 1, Rob Lynch was promoted to a regional manager position for the Cardiac Rhythm Management division of Boston Scientific (formerly Guidant Corp.). He writes, "My team is involved in the sales and service of implantable pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices. I have 12 employees scattered throughout the central Illinois region."

Kelly Glivar was recently promoted to the position of VP/GM of Hospira's anesthesia, sedation and critical care business unit. Hospira is the spin off of Abbott's hospital products division, now two years old.

Finally, on the personal front, I was recently elected a partner of The Boston Consulting Group in Dallas. I will continue to focus on the retail, restaurant and consumer packaged goods sectors, and to rack up dubious accomplishments in frequent flyer mileage. My wife Rebecca '02 and I are happy to report that our baby Jackie is happy, healthy and huge — he weighed more than 20 pounds at the five-month mark.
