EMP-61
Let's
start with the fun facts. Suchet Bhandari is a mom!
She and Rishi EMP-62 are the proud parents of a baby girl,
Kaya Iyer Bhandari, born March 27. I was able to go see Suchet,
who looked great and was being waited on hand and foot by
her mom and sister. As you can see by the picture, Suchet
gets a high pass. The EMP-61 baby boom continues.
Reunion
was a success. Many of us met at BIN36 for a night out in
May. We saw some folks from EMP-59 and EMP-60 too. I heard
bit of many conversations: Karl Kann and Todd Reding trying to work some deal, Beth
showing off her new Prada purse, Amy Schuman talking about her upcoming move to San Francisco. The consensus for EMP-61
was that we needed some more time to get together, so Lisa
and Kris put together a schedule of events for the rest of
the year. If you did not receive the e-mail I sent, please
call me or write me.
Todd
Reding and his wife Shannon have just purchased their dream
home in the small town of Grinnell, Iowa. The classic Victorian
was built in 1910, and features authentic dark oak woodwork
throughout. "It is truly a slice of heaven," says
Todd. He and Shannon embarked on a career shift during his
Kellogg experience as he left the nonprofit world to become
a sales and operations manager for a family owned company.
To date, the transition has exceeded their expectations.
Amin
Kassem has been promoted
to EVP and CIO for SHPS Inc. Apparently he put some slick
Kellogg-like presentation together that was so complicated
they figured he must be worth even more than they were already
paying him! Congrats Amin. I think I heard Melanie
Holmes say she has a new job with Manpower as vice president
of corporate affairs. Gosh, if her new job requires her to
talk to even more people, I think she'll do very well.
Here's
a thought. When you read this, send a note to your group (OK,
you can copy me if you want) and tell them what's going on
in your life, or just say hi. It will make their day. I just
received a 10-word e-mail from Vish Nadig. It made
me laugh.
Hoping
all of you and yours are doing well. I can't remind you enough
to send pictures and news. |
