1999

Rob (Tyler) Marcolina and his husband Kirk are excited to announce the arrival of their daughter, Sophie Tyler Marcolina, born March 23 in California. All reports to date are that she has quickly got onto a schedule and is allowing her parents to enjoy the wonders of their new baby girl. Rob and Kirk hope she continues to be so cooperative, but are cautiously watching her daily changes. Professionally, Rob continues to work with Bain & Co. in Los Angeles, where he was promoted to partner last summer. His focus areas are media and entertainment and consumer products, and he also plays a leading role in recruiting and training. He is trying to increase the number of Kellogg graduates coming to Bain and the West Coast.

Matthew Abbott married Sara Allen on April 8 in Texas. Matt lives in Washington, D.C., and works at the Department of the Treasury as the senior adviser for domestic finance. At their wedding was Eric Magac.

Roy de Souza is the chief executive officer at ZEDO, the company he founded. The company is now the third biggest in its space, Internet advertising software.

After co-founding Ethos Water with classmate Peter Thum and selling it to Starbucks last year, Jonathan Greenblatt announced in May his plans to step back from Ethos Water and leave Starbucks Coffee Co. Jonathan is looking forward to having more time to spend in southern California with wife Marjan and sons Ilan (2) and Ari (15 months). In the short term, Jonathan will be taking some time to travel with his family for the summer before he starts thinking about his next endeavor.

Keep the news and updates coming — I know there is more going on out there. And just think, if you don't want to send me news about yourself, you can always give me the scoop on the rest of our classmates and I'll track the story down!
