EMP-52's Ash Brooks has been selected as one of CIO magazine's "Ones to Watch." Ash is vice president, IT infrastructure and operations for Arrow Electronics Inc. in Melville, N.Y. According to the magazine, "CIO Ones to Watch honorees demonstrate leadership, drive innovation and deliver to their organizations the kind of value that proves they are ready to assume the title and responsibilities of CIO." The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association in May honored Nicole Mowad-Nassar, divisional vice president and general manager for Abbott Laboratories, as an industry "Rising Star." According to the association, HBA Rising Stars are "up-and-coming professionals in various sectors of the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advertising, public relations, medical education and market research, among other fields." Nicole is responsible for the diabetes, metabolism and hypertension franchises within Abbott's U.S. pharmaceutical operations.
