EMP-40

Due to an editorial oversight, the EMP-40 updates were inadvertently omitted from the spring issue of Kellogg World. All of the news missed last time has been included in this issue. We regret the error.

Jan and John Bell announce a new addition — a 41-foot Beneteau First 405 sailboat. She was launched at Manitowoc, Wis., in early May. John invites anyone interested in sailing to contact him at 312.505.4999. Also, John will be competing in his fifth Mack race in July. On the professional front, John is still developing shopping centers on his own under his new company name, Waypoint Properties. He is actively involved in the Leukemia Cup Regatta and is on the Chicago Yacht Club committee that coordinates this annual event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Illinois.

Eric McAllister (Ericmc@microsoft.com, 425.707.3179 office) has joined Microsoft Corp. as head of HR for the global Windows server business unit and moved to Redmond, Wash., in June. His view from his new office is of the Cascade Mountains. Congratulations, Eric!

Ray Siegel and wife Lynn hosted Michelle and Dave Bungum, Linda and Ben Randazzo, Susan and Rich Daly and Chris Ksoll for a culinary feast at their home in May. A wonderful time was had by all, capped by Rich Daly's launch of a new Fido T-shirt. Very cool shirt, Rich.

Eric Treiber has been named president and chief operating officer of Chicago White Metal. We are all thrilled for you, Eric.

Chris Ksoll has joined The PrivateBank as managing director in the new Gold Coast office. It is a bank dedicated to the financial needs of entrepreneurs — the perfect fit! New work address is: 149 East Walton Place, Chicago IL 60611, Tel: 312.238.8526. Chris has also moved. Her new home address is listed above. Chris was a panelist at Kellogg's second annual Alumni Entrepreneurial Conference, a Professor Steve Rogers full-day event. To all our EMP-40 entrepreneurs, please mark this event in your calendar for next year. It was educational, exciting and full of resources and networking for entrepreneurs. The PrivateBank sponsored the Kellogg Executive Women's Leadership Network Event, "Successful Women Entrepreneurs — How Did They Do It?" on June 2. Female EMPers, please let us know if there is an event you'd like to see us arrange!

Frank Alampi has officially become a family business. His wife Karen joined his firm, Summa Solutions. Frank, his family and firm are all doing very well.

Judy Buckley says "hello" to everyone. She plans to return to Washington, D.C., in August following a four-year stint in Asia with the U.S. Department of State. Upon completion of her MBA at Kellogg, she entered a full-time, two-year Mandarin language program. She is planning to retire in January and is currently looking for a corporate security-related position in a major company. A résumé will happily be sent to anyone who might be aware of potential openings in this field. Reach her at jmbucklee@hotmail.com.

Mark Zurcher has joined ConAgra Foods Inc.

Jeff Barker has rejoined Teradyne. We still miss you in Chicago, though, Jeff.
