  EMP-36
EMP-36's Chris Palmer and Mark Bader caught up on each others' lives last spring.

EMP-36

Chris Palmer recently visited Davenport, Iowa, to do some HR strategic planning for Lafarge. He and Mark Bader were able to get together for some great food and refreshments while catching up on each other's families and EMP-36 classmates! Mark also has a summer golf outing planned with Doug Guendel and Bill Weyers.

Congratulations to Chris Linn on his recent acceptance of a new job at Bassett Mechanical in Appleton, Wis. Chris will serve as vice president of marketing and business development. Bassett provides mechanical engineering design/build services, including specialty applications, from medical gas installations to food plant systems and fabrication, for the paper industry. Chris and his family will be relocating to the Appleton area this summer. Good luck, Chris, in this new endeavor!

We also received job news out of Appleton from David Anderson. After 21 years at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, David has been named to the 14-member executive team at Thrivent and is now the No. 2 person for the company supervising the financial services operations. Thrivent was created in the 2002 merger of AAL and Lutheran Brotherhood. Before the promotion, David was vice president of new business services. He started work at AAL as a programmer in 1983. Congratulations, David, on this promotion and best of luck in your new position.

Last, but not least, congratulations to Mark Bader and his wife Julie, who celebrated their 25th anniversary in May.

We wish everyone a wonderful summer and ask you to please keep the updates coming — we enjoy hearing from everyone!
