EMP 11
A mini-Reunion for EMP-11 brought classmates together again to celebrate 20 years since graduation.

EMP-11

This is EMP-11's reunion edition. The weekend of April 29, several of us took part in a mini-reunion and the "big" Reunion at Kellogg. On the evening of April 29, 10 of us got together at Spiaggia's in downtown Chicago. Ruthellyn Musil lives in the building so she was our host for the evening. What a fun time for us 10 and two spouses. The meal was fabulous, we had our own specially printed menu, the conversation was great and we enjoyed a wrap-up at Ruthellyn's place afterward. The 46th floor sports a great view of Navy Pier at night, with the Ferris wheel lit up and all. What a sight for a small-town boy such as me. Those in attendance included classmates Russ Luedtke, Joe Perotti, Cheryl Stepney, Steve Wertheimer, Ruthellyn Musil, Jan Leestma, Ron Nicholas, Tim Baker and Denise Guardino (the only classmates to marry from EMP-11) and John Covell. Man, we had a great time.

Cheryl Stepney and Richard Ross attended the "big" Reunion and Cheryl had this to report: "I did not bring my camera to the formal dinner. We were the only two from EMP-11. There was no one from the 25-year reunion. The event was absolutely lovely. They have expanded the Allen Center quite a bit. Additional lecture room and common reception area to the north have been built. Many new breakout rooms for study groups to work in private have been added, as well.

"The event was a cocktail reception in this new area with dinner in the Allen Center dining room at the center of the facility. A martini bar was flowing nicely featuring a four-foot ice sculpture of a martini glass with mixture poured in the top and a flow spout on the side for dispensing. There was a band for dancing and lots of mingling. Class of 2000 was attending in force — more than 30 people just from this EMP year alone attended."

That wraps up this addition and for those of you who could not make it, WE MISSED YOU!
