Philippe Mondan writes: "I have launched a new concept of stores dedicated to the joy of hearing and to selling mobile audio equipment. They are called Ecoute! Ecoute!, and compete in the hearing aid retailing sector with a radical nonmedical positioning. It is a revolution covered by the French TV broadcaster M6."

Susan Goodman writes: "After a post-dotcom year off, during which I took cooking classes, painting lessons, read books and traveled, in April 2003 I started a strategic marketing consultancy. We're focused on driving marketing innovation that creates top-line growth and ROI, working with Fortune 500 CEOs and CMOs. It's been the most satisfying and exciting work I've done in years. I'm still enjoying life in New York City, even more now that I have recently discovered I have an incredible passion for collecting contemporary art. I spend a lot of my free time going to art fairs around the world; I'm building a collection focused on very young artists, mostly painters. And, I've discovered that I like serving on boards, mostly nonprofits — the Direct Marketing Education Foundation and Robert Wilson's Watermill Foundation are two of them. I recently joined my first public board, Tessco Technologies. I wish I'd taken a course on that back at Kellogg. I have no children, but I have a wonderful niece who's almost ready to apply to Kellogg. She's three and raring to go!"

Ruth Wenger received her CPA designation in 2000 and is now president of Wenger Financial Group in Palatine, Ill., a financial- and tax-planning firm specializing in helping small businesses achieve their financial goals and minimize their overall taxation.

David Landau writes: "For the past 3 1/2 years I have been working at the YMCA Retirement Fund, overseeing its alternative investments (private equity, hedge funds, real assets, etc.). Another Kellogg alum, Peter Ziegler '73, is the chairman of our board. I work with a terrific group of people and I am really enjoying traveling to interesting private equity meccas such as the Silicon Valley, Israel and Europe. My wife Bobbie Sue and I have three terrific children who keep us busy: Sarah Sue (13), Sophie (11) and Effie (10)."

Phyllis Johnson is associate chair of the arts, entertainment and media management department of Columbia College Chicago. In April, she taught an Introduction to Arts Management class to students at the Interstudio-Institute of Composition in St. Petersburg, Russia."

Peter Tenney writes: "All is well here in Rio (and New York, where our daughter Rebeca is finishing up her junior year at Columbia). I am currently in a 'transition' phase, having been let go by Coty Brasil at the end of last year. That means intensive networking and interviewing, but nothing to report so far. I am keeping partially busy teaching business courses at a local university, which has been a lot of fun, if not particularly lucrative. I visited the States in late January and the first half of February, and had, among other things, a chance to visit the campus after more than 15 years. I stayed with classmate Mike Blyth and family in Evanston and it was great to get caught up. I was impressed by the new and revamped facilities on campus. I would love to hear from fellow classmates at peterwtenney@yahoo.com.br."

Blythe (Jaski) McGarvie continues to build a professional public speaking career, speaking to management at companies and at conferences. Her new book, published by McGraw-Hill, is called Fit In, Stand Out.

Joan Culwell writes: "I retired from the corporate world nine years ago and have been loving life as a RE/MAX Realtor ever since. The freedom and flexibility are very appealing after years in the corporate world! I am still single, although seriously dating an orthodontist in Highlands Ranch, a suburb of Denver, where I also live. He is a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and I ride with him. My motorcycle 'persona' is Angelfyre. So, you see, I am having fun these days. Hello to my old friends. I enjoy reading about you!"

Gordon Anderson writes: "Joanne (Toeniskoetter) Anderson and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary a year ago. We still live in Wilmette, just a stone's throw from our old stomping grounds at Kellogg. Our oldest son, Ian, is graduating from Notre Dame with an accounting/Spanish double major. It's only fair, as Joanne is a Notre Dame grad and I am the accountant. Our daughter Lindsay is a freshman and playing volleyball for NU. Our youngest son, Stephen, is a sophomore at New Trier. He is also a volleyballer and rows crew. I am CFO of Schnadig Corp., a manufacturer and distributor of upholstered and wood furniture. Our corporate headquarters is in Des Plaines. Joanne works for Focused Health Solutions in Northbrook. FHS is a for-profit subsidiary of Children's Memorial Hospital and provides disease-management services to large employers."
