1940s

James Jenkins '48 of Spring, Texas, formerly owned a chain of car washes in Houston. A son now conducts those businesses. James and his wife Irene have five other children who are doctors or engineers and 14 grandchildren. He now enjoys biking, swimming and gardening.

Bertel Olsen '48 of Lake Forest, Ill., has retired from Amoco Corp.'s budget and administrative control section. His family is now comprised of three children and six grandchildren. He has enjoyed many trips to Europe and South Africa.

David Kleinerman '48 of Northbrook, Ill., was a professor at Chicago's Roosevelt University for over 40 years, teaching auditing. He and his wife, the former Dolores Zahin BS '49, had two children and three grandchildren. David remains active in the Northwestern University Institute for Learning and Retirement.

James Parker '48 of Evergreen Park, Ill., spent his working career as a computer engineer. He and his wife Dorothy have seven children (two of whom graduated from NU) and 23 grandchildren. He enjoyed his many travels in the States and now frequents his health club.

Lyle Olsen '48 of Lake Forest, Ill., owned a CPA firm in Chicago's Loop until 10 years ago. He and his wife Joan have two children and five grandchildren. These days he helps manage a private foundation and also enjoys visiting Florida.
