Benelux club memebers
David Schnall '96, Rene Brisson '98, Rachel Fleishman '98 and Philippe Laval '95 helped organize a successful Benelux club event, a talk featuring Kellogg School adjunct professor Pierre Casse.

Benelux

The Benelux Club had its most ambitious event so far in May. Our leadership seminar with star speaker, Kellogg Adjunct Professor Pierre Casse, sold out in a week, attracting some 150 Kellogg alumni and business leaders at the prestigious SAP Lounge in Brussels. This event was also an opportunity to celebrate the new alliance between Kellogg and Solvay Business School for executive education, with Pierre Casse teaching at both schools. Pierre Casse described some of the leadership issues facing managers today ("most companies are sick"), offering advice including "your only loyalty is to yourself and your family, not to your company." He encouraged the audience to create within their companies "bubbles of sanity and excellence," and offered practical leadership tools to take away. The presentation received a fantastic response from the audience. The evening ended with a cocktail reception and networking.

For information on upcoming events in Belgium and the Netherlands, refer to the club events Web page.

Best, Philippe Laval
