TMP
1998
Hello
TMP 1998! Thank you for all the great updates and all the
questions you asked in your email messages. I wish I could
respond to all of you individually, but between running NaviAsia,
going back and forth to China and leading the Kellogg Alumni
Club of Chicago, I am a bit limited in timely responses. Now
on with the updates!
Since graduating, Michael Angelo Johnson has chosen
the path of entrepreneurship. After working for Morgan Stanley
in New York, Michael has relocated to Chicago and started
his own real estate finance firm, Johnson Financial Group
Inc. (dba JFG Mortgage Corp). His firm specializes in both
residential and small to mid-size commercial mortgages ($5,000-$3MM).
Michael has achieved great success being an entrepreneur and
gives credit to the Kellogg network and his former professor,
Steve Rogers. Currently, he is in the process of expanding
his business by entering new markets in Michigan, Wisconsin
and New York. JFG's Web site is www.jfgcorp.com.

Peggy
Roberts and husband Steve EMP- 53 welcomed a new baby
girl, Elle Lauren, on Feb. 5. She joins big brother Luke,
born in November 2002.
Congratulations to Alison Zelen, who was recently promoted
to senior consumer and market insight manager at Unilever
on the AXE brand, a deodorant marketed to 11- to 22-year-old
men. Alison offers a lead for job-hunting classmates: "If
anyone you know is looking for work in brand or research,
feel free to have them call me. We are recruiting both in
Chicago and Greenwich, Conn." Reach Alison at 312.661.2430.
Chuck
Mackie writes: "Here's where all the free time I thought
I would have after grad school went: serving as solicitation
and marketing coordinator for our grade school auction, coaching
Little League for my 10- and 6-year-old sons (quite a juggling
act some days!) and working as director of cleared products
for the IntercontinentalExchange, an Internet-based OTC and
cleared energy trading exchange (one of the true business-to-business
dot-com survivors!)."
Mary
(Donald) Pitman writes: "I am living in Norfolk, Va.,
with my husband Greg and daughter Maggie. I am still working
for A.T. Kearney's professional development group, where my
focus is e-learning. I look forward to hearing updates from
you and others."
Chris
Sheedy writes: "On March 3, my wife Michelle and I welcomed
our first daughter, Madeline Marie Sheedy, into the world.
Chris is currently with IBM Business Consulting Services.
He joined IBM when they bought PwC Consulting 18 months ago.
Nancy
Fendley was recently promoted to vice president of leasing
at Trizec Properties. Nancy oversees leasing within Trizec's
2.4 million-square-foot office building portfolio in Chicago.
Michelle
David Adams welcomed son Nathan in May 2003. He and his
older brother, Kennedy (now almost 3), are doing great. In
December, Michelle and her family relocated from Chicago to
Charlotte, N.C., so she could accept an in-house strategy
position with Lowe's Home Improvement. Michele and her family
report they love life in their new state and hope they never
leave.
Please remember to log on and Power Up! to stay in touch with
your local alumni club. The new alumni database and Web site
are even more powerful in helping you. I encourage you to
explore the new alumni tools available!
