On April
28, the Kellogg Alumni Club of Frankfurt organized the spring
2003 convention in Frankfurt/Main, inviting Kellogg Professor
Edward Zajac as keynote speaker, with The Boston Consulting
Group as host. Professor Zajac presented the fascinating topic,
"Have German Firms Adopted a Shareholder Value Orientation?",
predicting the specific path of a diffusing ideology. In addition,
Dr. Fechtel, manager of BCGís corporate development
practice, introduced a methodology to create value in multibusiness
companies.
Both presentations
initiated a lively discussion among the speakers and the audience,
which consisted of a mix of Kellogg MBAs, WHU-Kellogg EMBAs
and BCG consultants. After the formal event, The Boston Consulting
Group invited the alumni to a reception in their fashionable
new office building. Professional discussions and networking
continued until long after midnight. |
