Joan Lockwood (Viebranz to you and me) wrote to say that Baby Lockwood arrived five-and-a-half weeks early. George Colville was born May 18 weighing in at 5 pounds, 10 ounces. Joan says the baby would have been enormous had he gone to term. Joan says she is doing well adjusting to life with a child, and is taking the summer off. She plans to return to her part-time position as director of Alumni Relations at Pingree School. Her hubby, Bob, is still working hard at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Bill Sealey is president of the dealer and retail division for Mercury Marine. He and Grace are enjoying life and building another house while playing with their boat, car and Harley.
 
Rick Barger reported excellent trade magazine coverage on his restaurant concept Pal's. You can see the story at: www.nrn.com/operations/hr_topstory.htm. Rick is also vying again for the coveted 2001 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. Rick wants you to see his Web sites at www.palsweb.com and www.skobys.com. Skobyıs was recently named the most the best overall restaurant in the region! Rick has also been doing restaurant consulting and training for the Ironman Florida.

Danny Kennedy is now the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Riceland Foods Inc. in Stugart, Ark.

Jill Matzke says that none of the dangers of life at sea (storms, pirates, breakdowns) could have prepared her for life-in-a-downturning-Silicon Valley! She's trying to make some money for Silicon Graphics as director of sciences marketing. Jill says she and the family have generally adjusted to life on land.

Tim Tonnella is busy in Southern California working for Merrill Corporation.Chuck Brynelsen is moving to Tokyo to become president of Medtronic, Asia. Raj Malhotra is running a start-up medical records transcription service in Boston. The service uses coders in India that send transcription back to the author via the Internet. Karl Saunders is an advisor, and busy with his medical practice and consulting work.
