Todd Auwarter recently left Bain & Company to join Egon Zehnder, the world's largest privately held executive search firm, where he focuses on executive recruiting and leadership consulting. If classmates were thinking about a career transition, Todd would love to serve as a resource. He and wife Rachel and their son, Ryan (3) still love living in Houston.

Ashley (Hartmann) Kline accepted a new role leading commercial planning and strategy for a small gene therapy company focused on ophthalmology, Avalanche Biotechnologies, in Menlo Park, California. After more than five years at Genentech, Ashley has found it very different to be in a start-up environment and she is thankful for the Bay Area network of Kellogg alumni in health care. Ashley lives in Burlingame with her husband, Jeff, and their two daughters, Eliot and Parker.

Caryn Zieses Levine and Evan Levine (NU ’03) welcomed their first child, a handsome baby boy named Caleb Marcus Levine, on June 10, 2014. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 10 oz. and is enjoying his first year of life in New York City. While he hasn't yet been to Evanston, he has plenty of Wildcats gear.

Lauren (Nuechterlein) Louis recently moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for her husband Andy’s new job. Lauren is still at McKinsey where she manages partner reviews, which she has done for the last four years. Lauren, Andy, Brooke (now 3) and Julia (born in March of 2014) love their new house and life in Chapel Hill.

Micah Murphy and his wife Sarah want to share the arrival of their progeny, Derby Mae. She helped put the “labor” in Labor Day and has been filling their days (and sometimes long nights) with joy ever since. Micah would love to see visitors in D.C.

Emily Thomas and her husband, Matt, were thrilled to welcome their third little man to the family; Griffin Matthew Thomas arrived on September 15, 2014. While his big brothers Cooper (5) and Parker (3) are bummed that he can't yet hold a light saber, everyone loves life as a family of five. Emily continues to work in Marketing at General Mills and loves her time there.

Laura Varas published a new study defining the Top 10 Investor Wants of investment firm customers and ranking leading investment firms by performance. Laura is a partner and co-founder of the investment and retirement trends research company Hearts & Wallets. The study was highlighted in The Wall Street Journal column “Total Returns.”
