Kevin Chung reports that five Kellogg alums are busy in Gangnam, Seoul, building Coupang into the leading eCommerce player in Korea. With run rate of over $2 billion USD in gross bookings in less than four years, their aspiration is to become a global eCommerce powerhouse. Coupang secured over $400 million USD in funding from leading global investors including Sequoia and Blackrock, and they are playing key senior roles in product, marketing, and operations.

Yale Dieckmann and six other golf-crazed ’06 alumni united in Scotland this October for a bucket list trip that included St. Andrews, the home of golf.

Daniel Fleming has relocated to Seattle to transition into a new job with Nordstrom as the director of treasury, where he will focus on capital market and strategic activities. Daniel is joined by his wife and two children. They look forward to connecting with other alumni in the Seattle area.

Matthew and Sarah Forti and their kids Emily (4) and Ben (2) are enjoying life in the Philadelphia area. In 2014, One Acre Fund ended hunger for its one-millionth person. They extend their deepest gratitude to all Kellogg alums that continue to support their work, including a special thanks and congrats to Keech Combe-Shetty ‘06 and Akshay Shetty ’06, and their families, who received the 2014 Farmers’ Humanitarian Award at the Chicago gala. Keech and Akshay were honored for their tireless efforts to help grow One Acre Fund.

Melissa Grund, a partner at the law firm of Grund and Leavitt in Chicago, was selected as one of the top “40 Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch” by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer. She is currently teaching the seminar: Structured Transactions in Matrimonial Law at the Northwestern University School of Law.

After nine wonderful years as Head of School at National Presbyterian School, a co-ed pre-primary and elementary independent school with 310 students in Washington, D.C., Jim Neill will be starting a new role this summer as Headmaster of The Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland. Landon is a 680-student boys school that runs from 3rd to 12th grade. Jim’s wife, Amy, and their three children, Kathleen, Bridget, and Hugh (born in Evanston) are all well, and there’s never a dull moment.
