The Kellogg Executive Women’s Network elected new board members: President Michelle Smead EMP-12, Treasurer Marilyn Cleeff EMP-24, Secretary Mary Sneed ’94, Events Director Karen Hatfield ’99 and Membership and Mentoring Director Sarah Good ’86.
Our sincerest thanks go out to past co-presidents Dolores Slaughter EMP-24 and Lois Haubold EMP-47, as well as all the other dedicated volunteers who have made KEWN the outstanding organization it is today. Dolores and Lois will continue to be involved in an advisory role for the next few months.
In partnership with Community Alternatives Unlimited, the club made this past holiday season a little brighter for Chicagoland families by hosting its seventh annual brunch/gift-wrapping event on Dec. 7, 2013. More than 70 attendees brought hundreds of gifts for the children of CAU families. Twenty-five KEWN members sponsored whole CAU families. Together with the Union League Club of Chicago, KEWN members and guests attended several authors’ luncheons in the past few months, including those for Scott Turow, Jake Tapper, Rebecca Eaton, Doris Kearns Goodwin and Jane Pauley. KEWN is thrilled to be in this partnership with the ULC, which provides the opportunity to meet these very prominent authors, as well as network with other KEWN members and guests.
The Kellogg Executive Women’s Network is organized to serve the Kellogg community and support the school by creating opportunities for women to connect both professionally and personally, to nurture growth and leadership, and to assist in and encourage alumnae to provide support for one another. We encourage visits to our website and communication through LinkedIn.
