Brian Mittelstaedt and his wife Maggie welcomed their first son, Zachary, in November.

On Dec. 31, Tom Kerwin left his position as a managing partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in Chicago, one of the largest and most respected architecture practices in the world, to team up with Brininstool and Lynch of Chicago firm Brininstool + Lynch. Kerwin will serve as managing principal of the new firm, while Brininstool and Lynch will serve as principals. "I’m delighted to start something new with David and Brad," Kerwin says. "They’ve been one of the top design firms in the city for years, and I believe we can leverage that into new markets."

Gopal Pillai, his wife Parvathy and son Sharan just moved coast to coast from New York to Seattle! Gopal has joined Amazon’s new wireless group as their principal in product management. He is loving the Pacific Northwest and meeting new people. He comments that it is one of the most beautiful places he has ever lived in.
