Don’t forget to register for our five-year Reunion party and events during the May 1-2 weekend. We want to reconnect!

Update from Mo O’Gorman, doctor extraordinaire Kellogg alum: "I have had invites to lecture on immunodeficiency disease in some exciting foreign countries in the past year or so, including Kuwait City; Dakar, Senegal; and Paramiribo, Suriname in South America."

He adds: "We also had an awesome ‘Wildcat tailgate season’ with some new EMP-59 recruits. In our last tailgate, the Cats sealed a New Year’s Day bowl game by beating Wisconsin, the second defeat of a Top 20 team this season. Included in this tailgate were Chris Moore, Tom Shanahan, Heidi Voorhees, Stan Menezes and Lauren Reid. Missing from the group is a regular, Mark Bernhard, who was off hunting."

Steve Winandy’s team keeps together with monthly breakfasts. They get the regulars together with Jim Galante, Jeff Smith and Matthew V. Glad to see that they are still connecting.

Heidi Voorhees was part of the medical team at the October Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. She also ran the 2009 New York Marathon in November and is training for the Boston Marathon in April. In addition, Heidi ran into Kellogg EMP-76 alum Eddie George at the BCS Championship Game in January.

Lauren Reid updates: "Well, it’s hard to believe, but I am leaving Munters after more than 17 years. It’s something that just kind of happened while we were going through the holiday period. Doris and I are relocating to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where I will be joining a new company called Puroclean, a franchise organization that has about 300 offices with a vision to grow to 1,500. We’re really excited to be going to warm weather, although I just bought a new snow blower two weeks before Christmas."

Jeff Wilkinson’s family just got a little bigger. Matthew Bailey was born on May 11, 2008 at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Matthew enjoyed his first Christmas and the Wilkinson family is doing great.

Thomas Malkin’s family also grew this year. Tom writes, "As if my 40th birthday party wasn’t enough of an event, the best was apparently yet to happen! My wife’s water broke at around 8:15 p.m. and at 12:43 a.m., out came Izelle Emery Malkin ("Izzi") at 8 pounds and 19.75 inches. She is beautiful and we are all doing great."

Stan Menezes writes, "I got married again!" Big congrats from all of us at EMP-59 to Stan and his new bride!
