Hello Class of EMP-56! The winter months are reminding many of us how much we love (or hate) snow, and it’s time for a Kellogg World class update. Keeping in touch has gotten easier for the EMP-56ers who have connected on LinkedIn. If you haven’t joined yet, check it out and keep us up to date on your news in real time. Here’s our class news:

Ping Yu is the director of the mergers and acquisitions program management office at Pearson Education Asia. Based in China, Ping is focused on leading cross-border and multi-functional teams in M&A deal management and transition programs.

Juergen Juffa has taken a new role as vice president of finance at Komet of America. Based in Schaumburg, Komet provides modular tooling systems and metal cutting tools. Juergen is also trying to keep up with his two lovely daughters, Vasi and Suma, who are enjoying kindergarten this year.

Anju Ahuja continues to be a partner at Pysche Manufactory. She is also the corporate development officer and board member for Simage, a Chicago-based company that delivers custom TV to public eateries and entertainment places.

Dave Sulfridge has taken a new role at the Warranty Group. He is the vice president of global market development and will initially be concentrating on the South America and Asia/Pacific markets. Also, Dave is continuing his quest to conquer the World Marathon Majors, already completing Boston, Berlin and New York in 2009. Keep up the great work, Dave and we look forward to cheering on your success!

Mike Dvorak is the director of special projects at Indianapolis Power and Light, where he will focus on development programs for electric vehicles, smart homes, renewable energy and storage solutions.

Shumin Wang continues to build a semiconductor supplier in China. He serves as CEO of the company, which is over 70 employees strong and growing. Way to go, Shumin!

Cheryl King founded Hybrid Home Living in November and serves as the chief executive officer. Hybrid Home Living is the first online community to connect professionals, offering eco-efficient products and services to consumers who are motivated to retrofit their homes with today’s best technology solutions.

Evan Wonacott is president of Nehalem Pacific Corporation. Based in China, the company provides manufactured goods for the retail industry.

After three years in Africa, Christy Wistar has returned to Chicago. What an amazing story and really motivating to see what a difference Kellogg grads can make in the world. Thanks for the inspiration, Christy!

Jeff Slovak relocated to San Diego and is the vice president at Pro Performance Sports. The company has built the SKLZ brand and focuses on developing effective sports training products for consumers.

Deb Robbins (me) is stepping into a new role as the vice president for New Elevator Strategic Initiatives, focused on KONE’s Americas business unit. Deb continues to travel and enjoyed celebrating her one-year anniversary with wine tours in the Lausanne/Lake Geneva area in Switzerland.

We can see that EMP-56 continues to be a busy crowd. Please keep in touch! Join our EMP-56 group on LinkedIn, and/or connect with me personally on Facebook — and look for more news on our EMP-56 world impact in the next issue of Kellogg World. Be well and enjoy life!
