J. Eric Smith was named president of USAA Life Insurance Company. He will focus on growing the company by overseeing product development, strategic marketing and member service solutions. USAA Life Insurance Company has $17.4 billion in assets under management and $306 billion in life insurance in force as of Dec. 31.
