EMP-36
EMP-36 would like to dedicate this update to Mavis Sotnick.
"It was with great sadness that we learned of Mavis Sotnick’s untimely death. We are dedicating this quarter’s EMP-36 update in fond memory of Mavis, as she greeted us each week in the EMP office. She welcomed us with her genuine warm smile and caring heart and treated each of us and our families as if they were part of her family. We lost too early a person who helped make the experience at Kellogg special." — Mark Bader
"My memory of Mavis is that she took a personal interest in each EMPer and his or her spouse/family. Her very own family was so important and she shared stories of her children and grandchildren. Mavis was always interested in the ‘individual’ EMPer and in our lives. She had a great memory. Even years after our graduation when I visited the EMP office she reminisced about EMP-36 and how much fun she had with our class. She was especially touched by our holiday party and the piano and singing in 1995. I will miss her compassion, support, smile and elegance. She was a true gem!" — Cindy Seemann
"I can still remember my first visit to Kellogg in May 1995. Mavis was the first person who greeted me when I arrived and the warmth that she displayed was so welcome. She really went out of her way to make me feel at home and relaxed. She was always more interested in the personal aspects of students’ lives than their academic achievements. I will miss her genuine warmth, kindness and love for life. Rest in peace, Mavis." — Karen Kalbacher Stevens |
