Yingzhi Tian enjoyed a six-month vacation with her family and son (3) before returning to the BCG Shanghai office. Her son is busy getting to know new friends and adapting to his kindergarten environment, while her husband is busy building the alumni network and fundraising for Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She sprained her ankle recently and is restricted from heavy sports, but that doesn’t keep her from hanging out with friends. Yingzhi wishes her Kellogg friends all the best in the Year of the Tiger!
Gauri Sharma and her husband, Sudin Poddar, were wed in New Delhi in December. The wedding guest list was dotted with VVIPs and celebrities, including the president, vice president and even the prime minster of India. The list of Kellogg celebrities is no less impressive: Andrea Hanson, Allison Dick, Jessica Schoen, Brian Price, Sarah Gillis, Jacob Bradbury, Pamela Ramali, So Hyun Park, Manish Nayar, Faheem Noor Ali, Navin Advani, Arun Kochar, Vikram Kohli, Anant Gupta, Chris Durand ’10, and — last but not least — former Dean Dipak Jain and his wife, Sushant, flew to attend the three-day celebration.
Labeled as "curious foreigners" by the press covering the event, the group made the most of their India experience by taking short excursions to nearby cities and visiting the Taj Mahal, the famous Golden Temple and the wonderful sites of Jaipur. They took in the best of Delhi by attending fashion shows, strolling through the famous Chandi Chowk and interacting with street children through a local nonprofit organization. While the ladies looked fabulous in their saris and henna on their hands, and the gentlemen sported bright purple turbans that added to their charm, the bride was the center of attention with her stunning outfits and her beaming smile. All in all, the wedding was a wonderful microcosm of the Kellogg days that this bunch of recent grads weren’t ready to let go of just yet. Congratulations Gauri!
