Andrew Boyle writes: "In the fall of 2009, Andrew Friendly and I coached the Wellesley, Mass., first grade girls’ Polar Bears to an undefeated soccer season. In true Kellogg fashion, we changed our titles from "coaches" to "co-chairs." Since Friendly failed to attend the mandatory coaches’ clinic, he was perplexed to learn that no score was kept in the league. "No score? What the heck is this, Stanford GSB?" he asked. I don’t know much about soccer, but I’d like to think our OB skills helped guide this team to greatness. We had a girl on our team named Brooke. She was a highly skilled, athletic first grader. Am I saying that if she becomes a world-class soccer star, it will be due to our coaching? Yes. That’s exactly what I’m saying.

"At a recent holiday party, I thoroughly enjoyed the company of classmates Zack Gund, Ed Honos, Alexa Plenge, Jim Beakey and the aforementioned Friendly. Phil Furse was also at the party. I look forward to seeing you all at Reunion."

Katrina Emmerson Kugel and Jeremy Kugel have stepped back from their regular jobs to focus on their new Web venture, jasmere.com. Jasmere is an online marketplace that connects upscale Internet retailers with Jasmere’s large and growing subscriber base. During its first month in business, jasmere’s unique social shopping format (the more people who buy, the lower the price for all) was featured on the SELF magazine blog and on Washington D.C.’s Channel 9 evening news. They write, "Jasmere has brought us back in touch with a number of Kellogg colleagues, who are clearly ‘over-represented’ among our partner companies, board members and customer base. We look forward to seeing lots of friends at Reunion."
