Bjoern Klaas was appointed CEO of Colorant Chromatics AG in Cham, Switzerland, in November.

The 20th anniversary celebration of WHU In-Praxi took place Sept. 5-7, 2008 in Berlin. The Saturday evening dinner turned out to be one good opportunity to meet with our former classmates. Catarina Luebke, Frank Hinnersen, Thomas Dorbert, Radu Angel, Andreas Kahl and Ekkart Kaske shared the unique moment with their partners and other friends from WHU.

Thomas Dorbert was assigned extended responsibilities for Mediobanca SpA. Besides his role as head of leverage finance, he also is in charge of structured finance and debt advisory in the German speaking countries (based in Frankfurt). This is due to a shift of demand in the markets and the successful work of Thomas' team in this region over the last two years.

After five years of political risk management and government relations in the Representative Office in Berlin, Ekkart Kaske moved into the area of operational business development. In July, he was appointed CEO and deputy of the pay-per-use unit in Allianz SE sustainability program. He focuses on development of global telematics solutions at Allianz. He works in Trieste, Italy.

The Kellogg Centennial celebration in February at the Swiss Re Center for Global Dialogue in Zurich offered another great opportunity to meet with the management school's community. The keynote speech on sustainability couldn't have been more relevant in these days of global turmoil. Luca Jelmoni and Ekkart Kaske met with numerous Suisse and German alumni as well as Kellogg professor Daniel Diermeier, who gave an interesting presentation on managing corporate reputation in difficult times.
